CREAF Talks Dolors Armenteras – «The Amazon ‘we’ want: science, policy and reality»

Deforestation and forest degradation are two of the most pressing issues for the Amazon.

During the talk the items discussed will be: the regional differences in science, knowledge and socio economic conditions; the main findings of the first report result of the process conveyed by the Scientific Panel for the Amazon to debate, analyze, and assemble the accumulated knowledge of the scientific community, Indigenous peoples, and other stakeholders that live and work in the Amazon. Finally, opportunities and policy relevant options for conservation and sustainable development will be discussed.
